Leo DiCaprio Not a Good Neighbor

Actor vexes neighbors with basketball court project.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio stepped on a few toes while building himself a basketball court recently. His neighbors have filed a lawsuit claiming that the star did not have permission to excavate where he did. His neighbors say that DiCaprio was excavating their property, and that he damaged their plants and hedges in the bargain.

Legal papers were filed last week in Superior Court. The couple, Ronald and Joan Linclau, are annoyed with DiCaprio and claim that his construction project weakened a hillside on their property and their pool and deck were left in serious danger of collapsing. The Linclaus' lawsuit seeks at least $250,000 in damages.

DiCaprio's spokesman, Ken Sunshine, has said that the lawsuit is completely lacking in merit. The Linclaus, however, maintain that DiCaprio ignored warnings of trespass on the hills above Sunset Boulevard.
