Leonardo DiCaprio Settles $250,000 Lawsuit

The actor is currently filming Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island.

Leonardo DiCaprio settled a legal suit with his neighbors Friday that sprouted because the plaintiffs claimed that a basketball court built at the Titanic star's home had destabilized their property, court records show.

Roland and Joan Linclau had sued DiCaprio for $250,000 in damages over the construction of the court at his Hollywood Hills home. The Linclau's claim that the court had affected both their swimming pool and a hill on their property.

No terms of the settlement between the two parties was released by the Los Angeles Superior Court Friday.

DiCaprio has been nominated for three Academy Awards in his career, his first coming in 1993 for his role in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, which starred Johnny Depp. He is expected to star in Ridley Scott's new thriller, Body of Lies, which will feature Russell Crowe and be released later this year.
