Leo's Attacker Pleads Not Guilty

Leonardo DiCaprio’s attacker has pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles today.

The Hollywood star allegedly suffered gashes to both his neck and ear, after defendant Aretha Wilson reportedly attacked him at a Hollywood Hills house party in 2005. The ‘Inception’ star was taken to hospital and the wound needed a total of seventeen stitches. The attack was supposedly a case of mistaken identity, with Wilson thinking DiCaprio was an old boyfriend.

Wilson was arrested at the time of the attack, and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, but she fled to Canada before she could be prosecuted. She was recently taken into custody by Canadian authorities, and returned to Los Angeles in July.

Earlier this month it was revealed that a U.S judge had placed a restraining order on Wilson, which ordered her to stay 500 yards away from the actor at all times.

DiCaprio is set up to testify against the 40 year old in her upcoming trial on October 13th in Los Angeles. If found guilty, Aretha could face a sentence of up to seven years in prison.
