Letterman Does Not Apologize
Despite coming under fire for a joke made about Sarah Palin's daughter, David Letterman has not yet come out with an outright apology. On Monday night's edition of "Late Show with David Letterman," Letterman talked about seeing the Palin family at a Yankees game. One of the jokes he told concerned Palin's 14-year-old daughter, Willow, being "knocked up" by Alex Rodriguez. Needless to say, this raised the Palin family's ire. Sarah Palin has gone on record as calling the comment "sexually perverted," both in its nature and in the fact it referred to an underage girl. In response, Letterman claimed that he was referring to Palin's other daughter, 18-year-old Bristol. He also called the joke, "an act of desperation," although he did not directly apologize for it.
