Liam Neeson could be labeled the 'Unknown'
Schindler's List's Liam Neeson is in negotiations to star in the Dark Castle Entertainment thriller, "Unknown White Male," which will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
According to an article on Variety.com, "Neeson will play a doctor who goes to Berlin for a medical conference and gets into a car accident. When he awakens from a coma, he discovers that his wife doesn't recognize him -- and she's living with another man who has assumed his identity."
Stephen Cornwell wrote the script which is based on the Didier Van Cauwelaert novel, "Out of My Head." Joel Silver will be producing the film along with Leonard Goldberg. Production is slated to begin in January.
Aside from his sterling performance as Oskar Schindler in 1993's "Schindler's List," Neeson's other credits include playing the lead role in the 1990 thriller, "Darkman." He also starred in the 1992 Melanie Griffith/Michael Douglas thriller, "Shining Through," the 1994 Jodie Foster drama, "Nell," the 1999 Academy Award nominated action adventure fantasy, "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," the 2003 Colin Firth/Emma Thompson/Hugh Grant romantic comedy, "Love Actually," the biographical drama, "Kinsey," and the 2005 Christian Bale/Michael Caine action adventure, "Batman Begins."
Yet, if Neeson does star in "Unknown," he must first complete his role in 20th Century Fox's "A-Team," which will be directed by Joe Carnahan and is based on the popular '80s action television series.
Collet-Serra's previous directing credits include the 2005 Paris Hilton horror, "House of Wax," and the 2009 thriller, "Orphan."
