Lil Wayne and Eminem Collaborate

Lil Wayne and Eminem's video, "Drop the World," is set to premiere soon.

Great minds think alike, so they say.

On March 11, Lil Wayne's music video, "Drop the World" featuring Eminem, will premiere on MTV. The team effort appeared on Wayne's latest album, Rebirth.

Director Chris Robinson described the shoot for the video as "just energy."

He said, "You got two guys who are basically huge supernovas coming together, and the way that the song is constructed is great."

Apparently, Wayne has been seeking to collaborate with Eminem for a while now. His efforts, however, were stalled due to Slim Shady's comeback album and efforts to battle drug addiction.

This is not the first time the two rappers have worked together. Wayne and Eminem hit it off when they both took part in rapper Drake's song "Forever" along with a team of rappers that included Kanye West. The song was later re-released on Eminem's album Relapse.

"There hasn't really necessarily been a time for me to go to collaborate and sh-- lately, because I been so locked down in the studio. But I'm open for whatever. There's a lot of rappers in the game I respect, especially right now," Eminem stated.

For the time being, a 30-second video clip is available on MTV.com, for those fans who just can't wait.
