Hip-hop artist Lil Wayne was a no-show in the Bahamas last year because he was passed out in his hotel room.

Rapper Lil Wayne is being sued for close to half-a-million dollars for failing to perform at a concert in the Bahamas last year, according to TMZ.com.

The hip-hop superstar, known for his great ambitions for dead presidents, was dead asleep in his hotel room on Sept. 27, 2008 when he should have been on stage.

According to Red City Entertainment, Wayne was paid $432,000 to make a guest appearance at a Bahamas concert. When authorities checked his room that same day, he was unconscious.

In the lawsuit filed on July 9, Red City allegedly provided Wayne with a $210,000 advance for hotel accommodations and anything else necessary for headlining the concert.

As of now, Lil Wayne's spokespersons have not responded to interview requests.

There is no word if his negligence was due to drug or alcohol abuse, but if so, could his beloved Styrofoam cup be responsible for this lack of responsibility?
