Lil Wayne Goes to Jail
Lil Wayne faces 12 months behind bars. But don’t you worry about him, he's got his ipod.
Rapper Lil Wayne, birth name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. has been charged with a felony for gun possession in October 2009 and will officially serve his sentence on Tuesday in Rikers Island, New York.
In his interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Wayne ensures his audience that even behind bars, he will still continue making music.
“I’ll have an iPod and I’ll make sure they keep sending me beats.”
Wayne’s producer has been working to keep his audience captivated in his work while he’s away in jail. However, it won’t be long until another rapper comes along to steal his “lollipop.”
Though jail means no more partying, or the sweet suite life, Wayne didn’t seem to mind. He kept an open mind about this.
“I look at things as ‘Everything is meant to be,’” Wayne said. “I know it’s an experience that I need to have if God’s putting me through it.
