Lil' Wayne's New Single Leaks onto the Internet

Lil Wayne's "Prom Queen" can be heard prematurely to it's release date.

Though it wasn't supposed to come out until Tuesday, Lil' Wayne's newest single, "Prom Queen," is all over the radio and Internet. The track will be the first song heard off his new album, "Rebirth," that is set to be released on April 7.

The new album will be a bit different than Lil' Wayne's previous releases. It's main theme is rock n' roll, featuring shredding distorted guitars and big arena-rock sounding drums.

The single is about Lil' Wayne's attempts to seduce the high school prom queen, hence the title. Though Wayne tries and tries, he fails. The song takes a twist during the chorus when the girl ends up sitting on Wayne's doorstep, crying over what she could have had. Perhaps this song can relate to young music listeners who have been in the same situation.

Wayne will next be performing at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 8, where "Prom Queen" will most likely be performed live to a national audience.
