Lily Allen Covers "Womanizer"

Lily Allen is in trouble for unofficially covering Britney Spear's single, "Womanizer," reported People magazine. According to her MySpace blog, Allen covered the song on her own because she just enjoyed the song. "It's simple, really," Allen blogged. "I love Britney and I love the song."

Allen's label, EMI, did not love the cover quite as much when the artist sent the song to Mark Ronson to play on his New York radio show, Authentic Shit. Allen claimed that when Ronson asked her to send something new to him, the only song she had available was the "Womanizer" cover. The "LDN" singer claimed she didn't mean for the cover "to have whizzed 'round the world like it has."

She joked, "I had asked Mark to talk all over it so it wouldn't get ripped, but he didn't, thanks Mark for getting me in serious trouble with my record company."
