Limbaugh Fights Back on Radio Show
Last week, Rush Limbaugh stirred up controversy on his talk show when he made a questionable comment regarding "phony soldiers" and their anti-war opinions. On Monday, House Speaker Harry Reid announced the draft of a letter by Democratic leaders to the parent company of Limbaugh's broadcast. The letter calls for the network to disclaim comments that were made about anti war soldiers and also requests an apology from Rush.
On his radio talk show today, Rush claimed that the efforts by Democrats in Congress to target him are diversions meant as distractions from their failed efforts to get out of Iraq. Fox News reported that on his show, Limbaugh compared Harry Reid to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and said that he felt sorry for Sen. Tom Harkin's family for having to be associated with the Iowa Democrat's statements on the Senate a day earlier. Limbaugh denied the disputed wholesale attack on antiwar servicemen and women.
