Linda Hamilton Considers Terminator Salvation
MTV is reporting that 24 years after her debut appearance in "The Terminator," Linda Hamilton is in negotiations for the latest installment, "Terminator Salvation." In a recent interview, Hamilton revealed for the first time that she is looking to reprise her iconic role in the upcoming film.
Right now she is still in negotiations and awaits specifics in the script. "I haven't read it yet. I don't know what direction they will go in," she told MTV. "We are talking."
What she does know is that her contribution would be a voiceover and that depending on the material, she would be happy to participate. Hamilton's revelation comes on the heels of director McG's hinting at last weekend's New York Comic-Con. "She's the greatest," he said of Sarah Conner, and that Hamilton's participation is essential.
Hamilton's excitement about the project largely comes as a result of McG's commitment to honor the tradition of the original films. While she was offered a part in T3, Hamilton did not appreciate the direction of her character so she turned it down. Despite the fact that the original director, Jim Cameron, will not be involved in the fourth installment just as he was not involved in the third, Hamilton seems to be giving McG's new version the benefit of the doubt.
