Lindsay Lohan: “I want my career back”

Lindsay Lohan wants the same respect she had when she made great movies

Lindsay Lohan gave a pre-jail interview to Vanity Fair that is featured in the magazine's October issue. In the interview, Lindsay says that her wild days of partying are over. She admits, “I was irresponsible,” and calls her days of hard-partying her “college years.”

"I was experimenting. I was doing certain things that people do ten times more of when they are in college,” she says.

Lohan says when she first arrived in LA, she looked up to such stars as Britney Spears and others she read about in the tabloids. She says that was her only source of news, and admits it was sad that she wanted to be like that.

Lohan said she wishes she had structure before gaining success, telling Vanity Fair, “I had structure, and then I lost all the structure in my life.” She blames that on her hectic schedule and responsibility, stating it was very “go-go” and she was young with a lot of money.

Regarding her career, she says “I want my career back. I’m a damn good actress, and it’s been my passion since I was a child, and I know that when I care about something, I put 100 percent or more into it.”

She also admits “I want the respect that I had when I was making great movies, and if that takes not going to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway.”
