Lindsay Lohan has taken part in her first interview since she was charged with felony grand theft for allegedly stealing a necklace from Venice, California jewelry store Kamofie & Company.

Lohan discussed her career, her plans for the future, and her days in treatment in an exclusive interview with Extra.

“I feel great,” she revealed, according to PopEater. “As long as I’m focusing on the one thing that I know I need to put forth in my life, which is my recovery and stuff, then I’m doing good and that’s most important for me.”

Lohan was unable to discuss specific details surrounding her current legal case since it is pending, but she acknowledged that regaining the trust of the film industry will be a lengthy and ongoing process.

“There’s gonna be a lot of steps that I have to go through to kind of prove myself again and get the trust from the people that I respect to work with,” the actress said. “But I’m to do what I have to do to get there because that’s my passion.

“I don’t think that would be fair to just say, ‘Oh, this is who I want to work with’ and expect that to happen. No, I have to build my way back up. I get that.”

Extra’s interview with Lohan is scheduled to air Tuesday night.
