Lindsay Lohan had a run-in with the police over the weekend, but not the kind that has happened time and time again in the past.
Instead of the Mean Girls actress being front and center in police drama, she, or someone at her home, was the one to call on the police for help when a stranger knocked on her Venice Beach, California home.
According to TMZ, an older gentleman arrived at Lohan’s home around 6:30 p.m., telling her that he needed to talk to her.
When she asked him to leave, he refused and the police were called right away. They then arrived on the scene and the man was arrested for trespassing.
The New York Daily News reports that it’s unknown whether or not it was Lohan who placed the call to the police, or someone else at her home.
The incident went down on New Year’s Day, after Lohan returned back home to California following spending the holidays with her family in New York.
The Daily Mail reports that she had to receive permission to leave the state, considering the fact that she is on probation. She was granted permission, thus she spent the holidays with her mother Dina Lohan and her siblings, including younger sister Ali Lohan.
