Lindsay Lohan is opening up in a recent interview about what it’s like to be under house arrest.
The actress is confined to her 3,000-square-foot, $2.25 million Venice Beach, California home until June 29. So, what’s it like?
MSNBC reports that Lohan told Life & Style, "I’m a very social person, and I like being outside, especially in Venice Beach. I’d like to get out more — just going out and having dinner.”
She continued, “I was really upset not being able to go to my little brother’s birthday party. He just turned 16. That bummed me out.”
The Mean Girls star also dished about how she spends her days. “I’ve been having a lot of work-related meetings. Sometimes my friends come over. And I get to see my sister, Ali, which is nice," she explained.
Lohan also maintains that there is never alcohol around her house. "When my friends come over, they’re not drinking,” she said. "Alcohol is not in my house, so it’s just not a part of my life.”
As for going out to clubs when she gets released, she admitted, “I don’t think you should ever say never."
Lohan also spoke about how she is now “grown up” and expressed her desire to get back to work. “You go through experiences. I do understand that I need to gain some of the respect back, but I’m willing to work hard for that," she concluded. "I understand the situations I’ve put myself in, and I don’t want to go back to that.”
