The New York Daily News reports that Lindsay Lohan obtained a day-pass to leave treatment at the Betty Ford clinic to spend Thanksgiving Day with her father, Michael Lohan, whom she has been patching things up with after a rough couple of years.
Hours later, she decided to re-join the social network world and tweeted her first tweet since September 26.
“Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around. Sofia~Vanilla Sky. LOVE this quote,” she tweeted.
Lohan will continue her treatment at the Betty Ford center until January 3. She is currently living in a sober living facility.
Perhaps the most memorable of all Lohan’s tweets (she was an avid tweeter pre-prison and rehab) was on September 18 when she admitted to failing drug tests.
"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result. The failed drug test violated her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest," she said.
"Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future" she continued. "This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences."
