Lindsay Lohan Sentenced to 90 Days Jail Time

A Los Angeles judge found Lindsay Lohan guilty of violating her probation and sentenced the actress to 90 days behind bars as well as 90 days of rehab.

Lohan was scheduled to appear in court after missing a hearing the month before. Lohan had claimed that she lost her passport while in France for the Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, she skipped several alcohol education classes that were a part of her probation. However, her excuses of having to promote a clothing line and attend an uncle’s funeral were dismissed.

The judge presiding over the hearing, Marsha Revel, cited several instances since Lohan’s 2007 DUI where the Mean Girls actress had lied about possessing drugs or alcohol. “It’s like someone who cheats but doesn’t think it’s cheating if they don’t get caught,” Revel said of Lohan’s infractions. Revel then called all of Lohan’s defenses “excuses” and ordered the 24-year old to surrender on the morning of July 20. Lohan left the hearing in tears.
