Lindsay Lohan Settles Case About 2005 Car Crash
According to Access Hollywood, Lindsay Lohan has settled her civil court case regarding a 2005 car accident with busboy Raymundo Ortega.
Ortega reported that Lohan was negligent when her car collided with his van and also claimed the actress had been drinking before the accident. At the time, Lohan was not the legal 21-years of age. The man asked for $200,000 in damages.
Lohan quickly defended herself by filing a countersuit in which she asked for $75,000 from Ortega. She claims he was negligent in the ownership of his vehicle and it is he who is responsible for the car crash.
The young star denied Ortega's claim that she was intoxicated at the time of the accident and stated the accusation was an attempt to get money out of a celebrity. The police report backed up Lohan's defense as it stated she had not been drinking nor were there any signs of intoxication at the time of the collision.
