Lindsay Lohan is in trouble again. This time, it’s retail trouble that’s landing her back in the courtroom.
Church Boutique is suing the actress for close to $17,000 in unpaid merchandise. The boutique claims that Lohan defrauded the store deliberately.
The West Hollywood boutique alleges that Lohan devised a plan to cheat the store out of thousands of dollars, according to Newsoxy. The boutique sells expensive clothes, accessories and jewelry.
Lohan spent $17,060.83 in the store between November 2009 and February 2010. The 23-year-old actress then told the boutique owners that her business manager would pay her bill.
However, Lohan’s business manager only reimbursed the boutique for $180, leaving Lohan’s unpaid total at $16,880.63.
The owners of Church Boutique are now not only seeking compensation for the merchandise, but also interest and punitive damages on top of the original amount owed by Lohan.
Lohan is already due back in the courtroom July 6 as part of her ongoing DUI case to make sure she has not violated the terms of her probation.
The actress was ordered to wear a SCRAM bracelet to prevent her from drinking and doing drugs at her last court hearing.
