Lindsay Lohan's Home Is Victim to Burglary

Drama, thy name is Lindsay Lohan. Though in her defense, she did not cause this latest headline. The Los Angeles Police Department was called to the starlet's Hollywood Hills home Sunday to investigate a burglary report.

The call was put in at 6:30 a.m. PT. The break-in was discovered by Lohan, who had been out at a birthday celebration in Malibu. She promptly called her dad, Michael Lohan, who then called the police.

Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, told People, "The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed," she said. "Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken too."

As for her daughter's mental state right now, Dina said, "She is okay, but upset."

Lindsay, known more these days for her personal drama and party-going lifestyle than for her movies, is currently working on the crime thriller, "Machete," starring Robert De Niro and Jessica Alba.

This had been the second reported incident in three months. Lohan's house was also broken into back in May.
