Locklear back at 'Melrose Place'
Heather Locklear will be returning to "Melrose Place." She starred in the original show as Amanda Woodward, the conniving ad executive.
Locklear's character was either a fan favorite or most disliked but, either way, she helped to bring in great ratings for the show on its run from 1992 to 1999 on Fox. The current show is a remake and also a follow-up to the original "Melrose Place."
Locklear will reprise her role as Amanda in the new "Melrose Place"; the show has suffered disappointing ratings since its September 8 debut, as reported on Reuters.com.
Creators are banking on Locklear to give the show a ratings boost when she returns to an episode on November 17. "Melrose Place" is about twentysomethings, who are working and or students living in a Los Angeles apartment complex.
According to EntertainmentWeekly.com, one writer reports how the CW network is "OD'ing on nostalgic guest spots in a desperate bid for buzz instead of making its own way, just like '90210' did last year."
