Lindsay Lohan has hired Stuart V. Goldberg, a criminal defense attorney from Chicago, as her new lawyer in an attempt to fight for her freedom. Last week, after announcing that Lohan was “ready to go to jail,” Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan’s previous lawyer, quit without stating a reason.
NY Daily News reports that Lohan, “was sentenced to three consecutive 30-day terms -- plus 90days of rehab -- for breaking her probation on two 2007 DUI convictions. “
Goldberg reportedly met with met with the 24-year old Mean Girls star, her sister, and her mother for six hours on Friday. Lohan called Goldberg herself and asked him to fly out to Los Angeles, after “begging for mercy in court.” She claims the judge never made it clear when she was required to go for alcohol counseling.
"It's very difficult, we're not sleeping well, we're not functioning," commented the actresses’ mother. "We cry a lot and we hug a lot. She's petrified, we all are."
