'Lost Boy' Autopsy Report

Autopsy report on Corey Haims' death

Early autopsy results reveal that actor Corey Haims' Wednesday death was caused by pulmonary congestion. Speaking to Access Hollywood, Haims' mother Judy Haims declared that the L.A. county coroner's office told her the cause of her son's death today, also noting that his lungs were full of water and that he suffered from an enlarged heart.

Four different medications were taken from his room, but traces of the medications in his body were not confirmed by the coroner.

"He got out of bed about 1:30 this morning, was a little unsteady on his feet," said Taryn Winter Brill on Good Morning America. The paramedics were then called by Haims' mother, who took him to Burbank's Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, reports police Sgt. Frank Albarran.

Haims' mother claimed that her son was suffering flu-like symptoms. Police Sgt. William Mann told The Associated Press, "He could have succumbed to whatever [illness] he had or it could have been drugs...He has had a drug problem in the past."

Haim has a history of taking trips to rehab, reportedly having visited more than 15 times, and having struggled with cocaine and Valium addiction. He commented on his drug addiction in a 2007 interview with Nightline. "I feel like...I ruined myself to the point where I wasn't functional enough to work for anybody, even myself...my brain wasn't working."

Haim is famous for staring in movies such as License to Drive and The Lost Boys.
