Love Will Auction Cobain's Belongings
Rocker Courtney Love has said that she plans to auction the belongings of her late husband, Kurt Cobain. She supposedly told AOL music Web site, Spinner.com, that she will have a "Christie auction" and it will take place at her house, because it is "like a mausoleum."
Courtney states that her daughter, Bean Cobain, doesn't need to inherit all of her father's things. "My daughter doesn't need to inherit a giant ... bag full of flannel ... shirts. A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to '(Smells Like) Teen Spirit' - that's what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we'll just ... sell."
Love expects to make a bundle selling Cobain's memorabilia and plans to give some to charity as well.
There has been no date set as of yet for the auction.
As for this auction helping the rocker move on from her late husband, well that might not be the case. "I still wear his pajamas to bed. How am I ever going to go form another relationship in my lifetime wearing Kurt's pajamas?"
