A new photo from the set of the Lovelace biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace did not focus on Amanda Seyfried, who plays the title role, but rather on Sarah Jessica Parker, who was only cast last week to replace Demi Moore.
According to TMZ, the image, which surfaced Wednesday, shows the Sex and the City star in full make up for her small role as the feminist icon, including a long blond wig.
The New York Daily News reports that Parker was quickly cast by the film’s co-directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman since Moore’s scenes were scheduled to be shot just days after Moore dropped out following her hospitalization.
The announcement that Parker had been cast came earlier this week. According to USA Today, Us Weekly had initially reported that Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker was cast as Steinem.
Moore was hospitalized because of “exhaustion,” according to an official statement from her rep. However, reports from TMZ and the 911 tape that was released last week showed that she may have had seizure-like symptoms.
According to IMDb, Lovelace still does not have an exact release date. Other actors cast in the film alongside Seyfried and Parker include James Franco, Peter Sarsgaard, Hank Azaria, Sharon Stone and Parker’s Sex and the City co-star, Chris Noth.
