Low Ratings for Jay Leno
The Jay Leno Show reported its lowest ratings yet with just 4.6 million viewers, the New York Daily News announced. The show which was moved from an 11:30 pm to a 10 pm time slot on September had fewer viewers than the CBS "C.S.I Miami" re-run.
In an interview with "Broadcast & Cable," the host of "The Jay Leno Show" said he would have preferred staying at the 11:30 pm slot. Before "The Jay Leno Show" at 10 pm, Leno had dominated the late night talk shows for 17 years on NBC's "The Tonight Show."
In the interview with the magazine, Leno admitted he enjoys being the "underdog" for a change and gets a "certain satisfaction from pounding his head against the wall." Actually Leno said he is looking forward to the challenge of bringing up the ratings and proving himself once again.
It seems as if the low ratings have not affected Leno, who said he would rather be on his own shoes than on David Letterman's, who created a scandal when he admitted on his talk show of having an affair.
