The director known for his twist-filled suspense movies will team up with "Quarantine" directors for "Devil."

Director M. Night Shyamalan will team up with the duo behind the film, Quarantine, to produce a new supernatural thriller, entitled Devil, according to Reuters.

"This is a dream for me. I wanted to find filmmakers that inspire me and I found them," said Shyamalan.

The film will be directed by brothers John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle, who were behind this year's Quarantine, a remake of a Spanish horror flick. Brian Nelson, who worked on the vampire film, 30 Days of Night, will write the script for Devil. Details of the film's plotline have yet to be released.

While the independently financed film will be based off of Shymalan's idea, this will be the director's first film in which he wrote or produced without directing.

The film will begin production in 2009 with a target PG-13 rating. It will be the first in a trilogy of movies financed by Media Rights Capital to be called "The Night Chronicles." The entire trilogy will be based off of Shyamalan's original ideas.

Shyamalan's latest work, The Happening, was his first film to receive an "R" rating due to its graphic nature. The director is currently working on The Last Airbender, a live-action family movie based on the animated Nickelodeon series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The movie will be distributed by Paramount and released in 2010.
