According to Associated Press, the AMC series gained a one-third boost in viewers in comparison to the premiere for the second season, which drew in 2.1 million viewers. The premiere for the third season aired three times on Sunday and attracted a total of nearly 4 million viewers.
Variety reports that "Mad Men" also gained the most downloads out of any other program on iTunes.
