Madonna and Mariah Carey Beat Elvis

Elvis no longer holds two records thanks to Madonna and Carey.

Madonna and Mariah Carey have both oust Elvis as a record holder on the billboard charts this week.

Elvis Presley once held the record for the most No 1 singles by a solo artist on the Billboards hot 100. But according to E!News, Mariah Carey has now passed Elvis with 18 number 1 hits. "Touch My Body," Carey's latest single was her latest one this week.

Not only did the single beat Elvis out, it also broke download records by surpassing Rhiana's "Umbrella" with a total of 286,000 downloads.

Madonna stole a different record from Presley this week. She surpassed him with the most songs in the Billboard top 10. This week her new single, "4 Minutes," jumped 65 spots to the number 3 single, making it Madonna's 37th single in the top 10. Elvis is left in the dust with 36.

Elvis still holds the record for the most weeks at number 1 with 80 weeks total, but it looks like Carey might beat him out there to because she has 78 under her belt.
