Madonna Returns to Detroit After 7 Years

Madonna is set to perform in her hometown of Detroit on Nov. 18.

After a seven year hiatus from her hometown of Detroit, Mich., Madonna will finally return to perform a concert for her fans. We remember Madonna's risque performance of "Like a Virgin," but most likely her recent releases such as "Give It 2 Me" will have to be appreciated by her hometown fans. Not since 2001 has her hometown fan base been able to see a live Madonna performance, but fans will rejoice as ticket prices are expected to be from $55-$350, while VIP packages will be as much as $575 and are expected to be on sale in the upcoming months. After skipping Detroit twice during her last two tours, Madonna had accordingly hinted at an upcoming concert.

Madonna's concert promoter, Live Nation, confirmed that the pop icon would be performing at Ford Field on Nov. 18. Madonna, who was hinting at the upcoming concert at her film screening of her new documentary, I Am Because We Are, in Traverse City, should be announcing more details next week.

The 49-year-old star's latest album, Hard Candy, has sold over 600,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. With music icons such as Pharell and Kanye West on her album, who knows what surprises her tour will bring.
