Madonna has confirmed she will begin recording new music for her next album this summer.
Her manager, Guy Oseary, has officially announced via Twitter that the music icon will be back in the studio, tweeting, “Madonna goes into the recording studio next month to begin work on new album…she has a good idea of which producers she will be working with…lots of questions about what kind of music it will be…stay tuned," reports MTV.
This news comes six months after Madonna expressed her desire to record new music.
In December she took to Facebook, and wrote to her fans, “It’s official! I need to move. I need to sweat. I need to make new music! Music I can dance to. I’m on the lookout for the maddest, sickest, most badass people to collaborate with. I’m just saying…” according to Ology.
Madonna has been busy since she released Hard Candy in 2008. She wrapped up work on her movie W.E., as well as launched a clothing line with daughter Lourdes, Material Girl, and opening up a line of gyms called Hard Candy.
Welcome back Madonna!
