Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard Tie the Knot

After seven years of dating, actors Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are officially Mr. and Mrs. The couple wed over the weekend in a small, outdoor ceremony in Brindisi, Italy, Gyllenhaal's rep confirmed to People Magazine.

Gyllenhaal, 31, and Sarsgaard, 38, have been engaged since April 2006, and have a 2-year-old daughter, Ramona.

Among the 40 guests who attended the ceremony were Gyllenhaal's brother and Oscar nominated actor, Jake Gyllenhaal, and his girlfriend, Oscar winner, Reese Witherspoon.

Gyllenhaal was most recently seen in last year's box-office smash, The Dark Knight. She has also starred in Stranger Than Fiction, and the independent film hit, SherryBaby. Sarsgaard has had roles in such films including Jarhead (starring with his wife's brother), Kinsey and Shattered Glass - for which he garnered a Golden Globe nomination. Recently, the pair co-starred together in an off-Broadway reintroduction of the play, Uncle Vanya.

This is the first marriage for both actors.
