Make It or Break It Airs Tonight

Make it or Break It is the perfect title for ABC Family's new television drama. The new series highlights the stressful and cutthroat world of girl's gymnastics.

Along with new faces such as Cassie Scerbo, there are some familiar faces on the show. The teen drama features the return of "Full House" child star Candace Cameron Bure and "Frasier's" Peri Gilpin. Although we know Bure as D. J. Tanner from "Full House," she has always wanted to play an adult role, according to USA Today.

According to USA Today, Holly Sorensen, creator of "Make It or Break It," said the idea for the television show came after a meeting with ABC Family's management team. She had been researching young gymnasts focused on their careers and some were also pre-Olympic trainees, according to USA Today. After the U.S. women's gymnastics events at the 2008 Summer Games, the series was approved fall 2008.

The show will be aired on ABC Family on Monday at 9 p.m.
