Making an American out of Craig Ferguson
Scotland native Craig Ferguson, host of The Late Late Show, has passed his US citizenship test, E! Online reported. The comic even earned a perfect score.
Ferguson, 47, took the test Friday, with a full camera crew, and announced his citizenship Monday night on his show.
He, or course, did not let it by without a joke. According to E! Online, Ferguson quipped, "It's very difficult. All you people born here, if you had to take that test, Canada would be building a fence right now."
The idea for applying for US citizenship came to the late night host last June when he was given "honorary citizenship" from the mayor of Ozark, Ark., the Denver Post reported. Ferguson then went on to receive honorary citizenship in over 16,000 communities across the country.
The Seattle Post Intelligencer reported that Ferguson would be taking his oath in the next couple of weeks.
