Manilow vs. Hasselbeck

Barry Manilow pulls out of an apearance on "The View," because he doesn't agree with Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

Who knew a simple little venue that allows women to voice their opinion could be such a hot bed for controversy? "The View" has been home to some big disagreements, mainly the one that caused Rosie O'Donnell to vacate her seat as moderator earlier this year. She and Elizabeth Hasselbeck were involved in some verbal sparring that it seemed that neither could handle. Now another person has been added to the list of Elizabeth haters, Barry Manilow.

Yes, according to TMZ, Mr. Mellow has a problem with "the view" of co-star Hasselbeck. He was scheduled to perform on the show, however his people said that he would only do it if Hasselbeck would not be on the stage that day.

Manilow told TMZ, "I strongly disagree with her views. I think she's dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her." So as a result he pulled out of his scheduled performance on the show. Manilow is on a press tour in order to promote his new album "Greatest Songs of the Seventies."
