Marc Anthony is dating Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima

Shortly after Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez broke up, Lopez started dating the much-younger back-up dancer, Casper Smart. Now, Anthony has announced that he has a new girlfriend, Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima, by posting a picture of the two together on Facebook and sending her a message on Twitter.

According to The New York Daily News, the 43-year-old singer first went public about the relationship on Twitter on Wednesday. In Spanish, Anthony tweeted to the 24-year-old model, “A mi @Shadelima mi estatua de libertad. Besos bebe,” which translates to, “To Shannon, my statue of liberty. Kisses baby!"

Later Anthony posted a photo of the two together on his Facebook page, reports People. Under the photo, he just wrote, “gracias!”

According to Contact Music, Anthony’s adopted son, Chase Muniz, has already approved of the relationship, tweeting, "To all my followers and everybody on twitter follow 2012 best couple and for many more years to come @MarcAnthony and @Shadelima !!!!!” He added later, “Life is beautiful nothing like being surrounded by the people you love @MarcAnthony @Shadelima !!!!!! #family.”

Hola reports that De Lima has a 4-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Anthony and Lopez, 42, announced their split last summer. They have two children together, twins Max and Emme, who will be 4 years old. Lopez began dating Smart, who is also 24 years old, in November.
