Maria Shriver Broke More Street Laws Without Citation
Police officers failed to ticket Maria Shriver as she once again broke street laws, reported TMZ.
The California Governor's wife parked her in Santa Monica while she ran some errands when a parking enforcement officer noticed the meter had expired. The officer was about to write up a ticket when a security guard approached the officer and told him Shriver would be gone in five minutes.
Shriver managed to avoid another ticket as a police officer said if Shriver was on official business she would be exempt from parking laws.
Reporters said they saw no placard card on the dash, which would mean she was on official business. Shriver was also seen buying a muffin from a coffee shop and shoe shopping in Santa Monica.
Some reporters also saw Shriver drive off without a seat belt but police officials say they did not see her driving off.
The incident occurred after Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger told reporters he had not gotten a citation ever since he became the state's governor.
