Mariah Carey Getting Hitched

It's official; musical diva Mariah Carey is engaged, Msnbc.msn.com reports.

A source revealed that Carey, aged 38, is ready to set the date. The lucky man is Drumline star Nick Cannon, Accesshollywood.com declares.

The gossip kicked off at the party for Carey's Tribeca film, Tennessee, in New York, where the couple was seen in each other's arms. When Carey was spotted wearing a stunning chunk of bling on her ring finger, the rumors spiraled out of control.

Representatives for both singers didn't want to comment.

According to People magazine, Cannon, aged 27, was asked what he loved about Carey. He simply said: "Everything."

It was claimed that Carey was involved in a relationship with music executive Mark Sudack up until recently. According to Accesshollywood.com, this was never confirmed by the singer herself.

It's not the first marriage on the table for Carey. In fact, she divorced record executive Tommy Mottola in 1998, after being married to him for about five years.

This is the first time Cannon is tying the knot. However, he was engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks last year.
