Celebrities are always expected to bounce back to their hot bods shortly after giving birth, and it was no different for diva singer Mariah Carey.

USA Today reported since giving birth to her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, Carey has lost 70 pounds.

The 42-year-old spilled the impressive news on The Rosie Show, Tuesday, after she was lowered down to the stage on a crescent moon.

According to People, Carey told host Rosie O'Donnell that she was able to lose the lbs. with a strict diet and lots of exercise.

The "Shake It Off" singer also got a little help from the Jenny diet plan, which used to be called Jenny Craig and who hired her as a spokeswoman.

"The first week, I lost 40 lbs. … of just water," she said. "It was just water, initially. When I started with the program, I lost at least 30 lbs. of weight that needed to be lost."

And while looks helped motivate Nick Cannon's wife to get back into shape, she also added she wanted to lose weight because doing normal, everyday tasks became more difficult.

"The whole point of this is not just like: 'Oh, hey, look at me and my weight loss, I'm fantastic.' It's really health. Like I said, I learned it when I became helpless and felt so vulnerable like never before in my life."

Carey added that she never weighed herself.
