Most women who just give birth fester on the side effects that come with carrying a child for nine months, such as baby weight. However, Mariah Carey's pregnancy gave her a boost in her career's future.

The New York Daily News reported the new mother said her voice has become more powerful since her pregnancy.

“Right now I feel like pregnancy actually helped me vocally. At this moment my voice is in great shape," she said.

Carey revealed the info when she was officially announced as Jenny Craig's latest spokeswoman. She also spoke about the painful aftermath of her C-section.

“I knew I was going to gain weight during the pregnancy, but I didn’t think about the pain the weight would cause. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to walk again ... I couldn’t get up out of my chair alone," she said.

As for her twins, People reported 6-month-old twins Morrocan and Monroe are now eating solid foods like cereal and pureed fruits and veggies.

Oh how fast time goes by.
