Marianne Faithfull Won Fight Over Cancer
Singer wins her battle against her scary disease and will be touring again in the Spring.
The 59-year-old singer, Marianne Faithfull, has recently stated that she has won her battle against her breast cancer. Faithfull came into realization with the disease back in September when the doctors diagnosed her.
She will be able to start touring again in the Spring.
The singer had surgery in October and it has been said that she will no longer need any forms of treatment because the disease was caught so early on.
Faithfull reportedly said, "It has been an extraordinary experience and, in many ways, extremely positive. I didn't realize how many true friends I had. I feel so lucky and loved and thank everybody for all their good thoughts."
Her tour will start back up in Budapest, Hungary in mid-March 2007.
