Marie Osmond was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night because of bronchitis.
E! Online reports the 52-year-old singer was brought to St. Rose Dominican Hospital Sienna Campus Emergency Room after performing with her brother Donny in their variety show at the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas.
During the show, Osmond’s voice started to give out and was brought to the hospital because of concerns about her vocal chords. Her rep, Greg Sperry, said she was diagnosed with a “bad case of bronchitis” after undergoing a series of X-rays and tests.
After two hours, she was released from the hospital and given the go-ahead to continue with her show.
Despite none of her performances being canceled as of now, Sperry said some of the numbers in the show might be cut or shortened to allow Osmond to rest her voice.
Osmond seemed upbeat about returning to the stage Thursday night, tweeting,“Big doll event tonight. Nothing could make me miss this.”
