Mark Wahlberg opened up in a recent interview with Men’s Journal about marriage, life as an actor, and his children. Despite these average questions, Wahlberg also made a comment about 9/11 which has many up-in-arms, calling the actor's comments insensitive and in poor choice.

Wahlberg was set to fly on American Airlines Flight 11, one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Prior to his flight, Wahlberg opted to schedule an earlier flight on a private airplane. When asked by Men’s Journal about that infamous day, Wahlberg replied, “If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did -- there would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry.'"

His comments were since deemed “insensitive” and have many wondering what the actor was thinking replying in such a way. Wahlberg has since issued a statement, according to CBS, saying, "To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible. To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with.…I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention."
