The Marriage Is Over for LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet

Following last week's news that LeeAnn Rimes's love interest, Eddie Cibrian, is divorcing, Rimes announced that she and husband Dean Sheremet are divorcing.

The announcement, which appeared on her Web site, read, "After much thoughtful, mutual consideration, [Dean] and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support - it is deeply appreciated."

Rimes, 27, and Sheremet, 28, have been married for seven years.

The rumors about their impending divorce began when Rimes filmed Lifetime's "Northern Lights" with Cibrian.

Us magazine confirmed in late July that Rimes and Sheremet had separated due to Rimes's affair with Cibrian.

According to Us magazine, Cibrian filed for divorce on Aug. 24 from his model wife Brandi Glanville. They have two children, Mason, 6, and Jake, 2.

Now, however, Rimes and Cibrian have gone public with their relationship. The couple was spotted at a golf course on Aug. 20, and they took a romantic trip to Cabo San Lucas this past weekend.
