Martha Stewart Loses Some Weight
Martha Stewart told The Associated Press that the cumbersome electronic ankle bracelet would come off at 12:05 am, September 1. The homemaking queen is finally free from house arrest.
Stewart, 64, was imprisoned to her home for more than five months, including a three-week extension for violating unspecified probation rules. The ankle bracelet that held her down, broadcasted a signal to federal authorities who could keep track her every move.
Martha was sentenced last year to five months in prison and five months of house arrest. She was convicted of lying to authorities about her 2001 sale of about 4,000 shares of ImClone Systems Inc. stock.
Even with the extra weight, Stewart has been working on various projects including her magazine, Martha Stewart Living. She has also been planning the premieres of two shows, "Martha," which airs Sept 12, and "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart," airing on September 21.
