Marvin the Martian movie in the works
An article recently published in the LA Times said that a Marvin the Martian movie is now in the works with director Alex Zamm (Chairman of the Board, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2) and writers Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove (Spin City, Just Shoot Me) at the head. There has been little confirmed news as to which actors and characters will be featured in the flick, but it has been rumored that the studio is consulting with Mike Myers for the lead role. The funny little Martian will be a CGI cutout in a live-action movie, much like Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequels.
In the Christmas-themed movie, Marvin the Martian comes to earth to destroy the holiday of Christmas, but instead traps himself in a gift box, and presumably learns the true spirit of Christmas along the way. This movie is still up in the air as to whether or not it will be released in theaters or straight to DVD, like some of Zamm's other films, but it is too close to call this early in the development
