Mary J. Blige Cast in New Tyler Perry Film
With Madea Goes to Jail still in theaters, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Tyler Perry is already in the studio filming his next picture, I Can Do Bad All by Myself.
Taraji P. Henson is already cast in the film and now has Mary J. by her side. Mary J. Blige's character will be a singer and nightclub manager. Blige will be singing a couple of notes in the film to accompany her character. The film centers around one of Madea's granddaughters who comes to live with her to flee an abusive, two-timing husband. The film relates to the rest of the Perry films filled with an assortment of emotions. Of course, the film will feature Madea, Perry's infamous gun-slinging senior citizen.
I Can Do Bad All by Myself is being shot in Atlanta and is set to be released on September 11, 2009.
