Mary J. Blige Congratulates Jay-Z and Beyonce During Concert
According to People, Mary J. Blige congratulated Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles during a concert in North Carolina Saturday Night, amidst rumors that the couple had married on Friday.
As Blige began her song, "You're All I Need," at the sold out "Heart of the City" tour in Greensboro, the R&B singer shouted, "Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B."
However, Jay-Z, co-headliner of the tour, was not wearing a wedding ring nor did he give any insight or comments on the wedding that allegedly happened just the night before.
Reps for Jay-Z, 38, and Beyonce, 26, have still not confirmed that the couple married, according to People. However, a friend close to the couple told the magazine, "It happened earlier (Friday) evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair - close friends and family."
An extravagant party at Jay-Z's Tribeca apartment followed the ceremony Friday night, which included guests such as Beyonce's parents Mathew and Tina Knowles, her sister Solange, Destiny's Child group members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and their friends Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin.
Wedding rumors began after the couple attained a marriage license in New York on Tuesday.
