Matt Damon was furious when he found out that director of 'The Borthers Grim' wanted Johnny Depp instead.
Matt Damon discovered that he was second choice for his role in The Brother's Grim, directed by Terry Gilliam. Gilliam admitted that his first choice was Johnny Depp, which left Damon livid.
When Damon met Gilliam, the director told him that he was not looking for Depp, who starred as Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After further discussion, Gillaim confessed to Damon that Depp was his first choice.
Mirimax, who passed on Pirates of the Caribbean, starring Johnny Depp, was furious after the movie's triumph. Damon is still hoping that The Grim Brothers will be success, even without Depp.
